The opening of the music video will begin with typography labelling the song name and artist name. The idea is to start the video with scenic footage of city roads empty or busy filmed during the night so there are lights glowing in the black and white. There will be footage of the two main characters of which are flashbacks of the two main characters at parties and the "good times" they both have shared. This will also continue throughout the video.
The male character will be wearing a black shirt and jeans, he will be a more well behaved, grown up coming from a wealthier family, high achiever compared to the female character who will be wearing a black dress, makeup, red lipstick, she is more of a rebel and has a bit more attitude and is a free spirit. This will represent different types of social groups. I think this video will also show that women can be in the wrong in a relationship just as much as the men and I want it to prove the stereotype wrong.
During each chorus the two main characters will be filmed in red lighting with the both of them on a different side of a wall lip syncing to the video, then when it is time for the next verse the flash backs in black and white will continue.
The flashbacks will be of crowds at parties, people on the beach, a city atmosphere and also scenic views of mountains. Emotions will also fluctuate throughout the video between the main characters. There will be laughter and tears that represent the ups and downs of "love".
An idea I have also had is when the chorus plays I will zoom up to eye of the female character and tears will fall to match the song but I will edit this so that it will look backwards. As in the tear will fall and then go back up into the eye.
Towards the end of the video it will be more focused on the main characters and the story ending will be explained.
