Genre Research
The genre of my Artist is contemporary R&B / Soul music. My chosen song "Save Your Tears" fits into this genre perfectly. Contemporary R&B is a music genre that combines rhythms and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop and electronic music. Other famous R&B artists are Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder and many more. Soul music is a very popular style of music genre, it combines elements of rhythm and blues but also jazz. Some famous soul music artists are Lionel Richie, Amy Winehouse, Mariah Carey and many more. This genre of music was particularly popular in the 90s and early 2000s and then went out of fashion until around 2015 which is when The Weeknd started to peak in his career and was know for his R&B/soul genre of music.
